Can some DSLR cameras accept processing film, like what you would use in a normal SLR type camera?

I was just curious if there are some DSLR cameras that accept film that you can then bring to a pharmacist etc. to get developed (Like an SLR)
Or are they all simply just cameras where you take the photo and then it’s placed onto a memory card inside it?

I took my camera to the beach and it fell in the sand. After that, it never acted the same. The LCD screen wont turn on when it is opened. Only when closed, the reverse of what its supposed to do. How do I get the camera to be normal again? It is a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV280. It uses Digital 8 tapes.
Do I really need a warranty with a Nikon Digital SLR?

Just curious – I have many friends who have Nikon Digital SLR’s, and have never once had a problem after years.
There are local sellers selling D40, and the D60 for almost $200 less than major retail stores. That’s why I’m asking.

Okay,I could be wrong but I think HD Camera’s employed in films,is like a digital camera.Where in old camera’s you need reels,and also for Movie camera’s that require reels.But with HD-Camera’s,you don’t need a reel,and it functions like a Digital Camera.Where when you take a shot,you can decide whether or not you wanna keep it.If you don’t you can delete it and continuous shots until you are satisfied and save them.This helps a lot in films and photography.And the quality of the picture is ten times better.
Or is it something else?

I wanna know of all the Sony Handycam Camcorders with the nightshot feature, which one is overall the best in your experience? Which one has the best focus/image quality/performance? Right now I have a DCR-SR45 and it has good nightvision, but it has autofocus problems and the image quality is a little grainy so I’m thinking about upgrading. I only use it in the dark so I just need to know how they perform with Nightshot on.
