This is made for applications like Skype video phone calls. The camera works OK but by the time it is back far enough the other party can not hear me or anyone on my end thru the mic.

I bought it for video calling my son in Iraq with several other family members on this end. It just does not work. don’t waste your’e money.

    More typical Chinese garbage’.

I ordered one of these from another vendor. The camera quality was ok. I ordered 8 more (7=+1) for a promotional by a non-profit I am a director of. All of these came in missing parts, broken or defective! I caution anyone ordering this camera.

I bought two of these, one for me and one to ship to my boyfriend who recently moved.

The plug-n-play works flawless and the picture quality is very good for the price.

The sound quality I haven’t been able to test yet. I read the other reviews, so I knew that there would be separate cords for the USB (Camera) and a jack for the mic. However, the cord is “split” so if your USB connection and your Mic jack connection are on opposite sides of your laptop (Like mine)–you won’t be able to plug both at the same time.

If you are looking for a camera for flexibility, this isn’t the best one. The suction-cup bottom is hopeless, but it stands stable as long as the “neck” in at least 60% straight up, balancing the weight. The Mic doesn’t seem to throw it off balance no matter which way it points.

SO– If you sound and USB are with 4 inches of each other, you are working with a stable surface and you just want the best picture for little cash, this is the best value. Perfect for no-muss video chatting.
