The camera being used for this test is not used to much lately due to the introduction of more advance infrared type cameras. However, you can still setup your cable the same way and you will need to terminate to a pigtail extension to interface with a power cable adapter transformer at one end and to the camera power cable at the opposite end. The equipment supplier can assist you with getting the correct transformers base on the type of camera.

Hi, Red is your power lead and Black is your neutral lead when using this type of cable. The ground is on the coax portion of the cable which is the braided wire under the outer portion of the coax cable. There is not a ground cable connection at the camera rear that is being used for this pre-test, which normal you will not have for this type of camera use.

Hi,If you have more than one camera, you should check each one prior to installation. There are companies that sell the cable already made-up. All that is needed is to plug both ends to respective devices power supply or DVR and view your camera from the monitor.

Hi, My video pre-test was design to show procedures regardless of how many cameras you install, check them all. If you have cameras that are for outdoors, you still can test it out the same way before climbing the ladder.
