So far, while I’ve heard speculation on what may have happened prior to and subsequent to the incident shown here, I have yet to hear one reasonable explanation for what is seen in the video other than a deliberate take-down by the driver of the car. Not one.

Judging by the stop position of Darcy’s bicycle, which was well ahead of Bryant’s car, there was no prior interaction between the two. If there had been, then Darcy would have pulled up beside the car, most likely on the driver’s side, and exchanged words with Bryant. He couldn’t talk that far in front, and stopping in front of an angry driver? Nope. But I’ve said it before, even if Darcy had called MB every foul name in the book, there is no law that states a vehicle can be used as a weapon.

I agree completely. We can only guess about any possible prior altercation but it’s moot. There is no justification for running down a bike with a car. None.

This video has been stabilized with an adjustment of the overall position of each frame. This removes the bumpiness resulting from the handheld camera. This footage is unaltered except: re-sizing / cropping to fit, brightness contrast adjustment for clarity, cuts between camera clips, and unavoidable artifacts from the video compression algorithms used on the source footages and youtube publishing.

New details are apparent:- Passenger seems to slap Bryant at 0:01, reaching across with right arm. The top of his head can be seen over the windshield moving back suddenly. This is clearer time scrubbing in my edit software than online.- Steering angle of the front wheels can be seen to move several times. Bryant’s hand on the steering wheel can be seen through the windshield.- Sheppard’s backpack can be distinguished as he rides. His body position is more apparent when stopped.

Terrific work, honestedits. Doesn’t look like a slap to me, though. More like pointing as in “there he is” followed by Bryant turning his head to look.

Could be true as well.. Could she see him from that angle with the seatback etc? Thanks for the encouragement!I have stabilized the second clip and will post them together soon. There is some overlapping region between the two cameras as you will see.

I watched it again with your comment in mind, She reaches out when Sheppard is too far back for her to see. Although, Bryant could be jerking back when he sees Sheppard in the mirror. Either way, he looks pretty jumpy.

Yes, you’re probably right.I’d pay to hear what was said in that car. Something is going on.They’ve got to grill her in cross-examination at trial.

Whoever ’she’ is. We don’t know since the person in the car took off before the police arrived. Later someone came forward, and then the media a day or two later said it was his wife. But witnesses stated it was a blonde passenger.Looking at the gestures again, there might not have been any motion pointing to Darcy. Perhaps the passenger and Bryant were talking about something, and they were just touching Bryant or tapping him or something. It’s hard to tell if Darcy’s head turns as he passes.
