Do they make a Shutter Release Cable for Canon Digital Rebel XTI? It doesn’t seem like they could since the shutter release is just a solid button on the body…???

Which Camera? Nikon D50 or Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT?

23 Aug

Hey, Ive been looking for a camera for a couple days now and Ive come to a conclusion. The Nikon D50 with Nikon 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 G Autofocus Lens for 500 dollars or the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT for 600 with Canon 18-55mm EF-S Lens. I am going to use this camera to take sports pictures and Im not sure which one would be best for that, keeping in mind the 100 dollar difference.

Here is a link of the D50

Should I buy a Nikon D40 or Canon Digital Rebel XTi?

21 Aug

Some say Nikons are better, some say Canons. What’s the cheaper camera, but better quality? The cheapest Canon I’ve found with lens kit is about $490, but it might not be a trustworthy site. I NEED THE LENSES, so don’t give me any links for just the body of the camera.

I’ve saved up around… 415 dollars for my camera, so if you can find anything close to that, that’d be great!

I recorded a video on my Canon EOS SLR Camera and I uploaded the video onto my computer.?

19 Aug

I recorded a video on my Canon EOS SLR Camera and I uploaded the video onto my computer. When I watched the video the sound was fine but the picture kept skipping. I wanted to upload some videos onto youtube of myself singing but I was wondering how to upload it so it doesn’t keep skipping like that.

Digital cameras: Canon or Panasonic?

14 Aug

I have about $300 to spend on a new digital camera. I’m looking at either the Canon SD1000 or the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12K. I really just want something fast, good quality pictures, and a durable camera I can carry in my pocket. Crazy camera modes are also desirable.
Does anyone have either of these cameras who can tell me which one to go with?
Thanks!

What are some good SLR lenses for my Canon?

07 Aug

I have a Canon Rebel XTi, and I am wondering what some pretty good lenses are? I want a big zoom. And, I am not looking to spend very much right now, so preferably $350 and under at the moment. But don’t let the price stop you from telling me a good lense from a bad! Any good flashes as well? Thank you!

Canon vs. panasonic digital camera?

02 Aug

I have an canon camera now (a elph), it’s a few years old and I would like to upgrade. I’m not an expert photographer but I would like to start taking some nice pictures of wildlife. For this I am looking for a camera with somewhere around 10x optical zoom.

Canon has one, but I have read you have to wait around 10 seconds between taking pictures when you use the flash. I don’t like that. Plus it is a little bigger than your typical small digital camera.

I saw panasonic has a camera with 10x optical zoom and it is smaller. It received some really good reviews on the circuit city website. I have never heard much about a panasonic camera, are they good? Do they take good pictures? I have always had a canon and been in love with it, but they just dont seem to have a good canon camera for what I’m looking for (10x optical zoom).

Can anyone give me their opinions on these types of cameras or possibly other brands of cameras that have good optical zoom capabilities?

Thanks! :)
I still want a smaller “point and shoot” camera. That is why I am not looking at SLR cameras. I want the best of both worlds. :)

Canon Digital Rebel XTi – Need Help with Focus Problem?

24 Jul

Hello fellow Canon users. I just got my digital rebel XTi and it takes wonderful pictures but I am trying to figure out which settings I need to play with to get everything in focus. So far, it focuses on the main subject, and everything else in the background is blurry. How do I make it where the subject and everything in the background is in focus?

So far the only way I have figured out how to do this is in landscape mode, but you can’t use flash in landscape mode and I would like my indoor pictures to have everything in focus as well.

I have shot on the “green box” mode and also use the “P” mode but neither one of those modes accomplishes what I want.

Thanks much for your help =)

I’m looking to buy a Canon Eos Digital Camera and considering the D7 and the D50, which would you buy and why?

18 Jul

If you have another suggestion that’s fine but it needs to be a Canon Eos so I can switch the lenses between that and my film camera.
Thanks!
