I am looking to buy a DSLR camera pretty soon. This will be my first but I do know quite a bit about them. I have a huge passion for photography and am looking into starting my own photography business. I will do mostly outdoor photography along with some indoors. It will be mostly children’s photography in garden type surroundings. I am set on an Olmpus.

my camera was almost 500 $ with the 3 year warranty. it was waterproof, shockproof, and freeze resistant. it was a great camera and i took care of it really well! i mean i worked at a cleaning company for a summer to save up for it, than just before Christmas time it stopped working. when i took it into black(where i bought it from) they said there’s nothing they can do. A lady at the store said when i went in again a few weeks ago said i should e mail olympus or call them. What would be better and what should i say?

I’ve not got much experience in camera’s but i have fount nikon’s easy to use when i’ve borrowed them, i’ve never used an olympus at all but the one’s i’ve been looking at buying are a nikon or an olympus digital slr camera’s, which is easier to use and gives better results etc? thanks.

I am planning on buying an Olympus Evolt E500 with a digital flash. This is my first SLR and I don’t know that much about cameras/flashes. So I was wondering, is the Olympus FL-36 a good flash to use with that camera? What features does it have that make good? And most importantly, can you use it wirelessly and will it detect when the camera will take the picture without having to use the on-camera flash? Any help is appreciated.

I bought an Olympus 8 megapixel camera with 5X optical zoom. I used to own a 8 megapixel Sony camera… the Sony had excellent quality (Carl Zeiss Lens). The Olympus camera was on sale so i decided to give it a try. it is difficult to take clear, focused pictures with this camera. should i get a refund? What is your experience with olympus cameras?
