I’m looking into buying a used slr digital camera off of ebay. My price range is small and fairly cheap but i don’t mind buying a camera thats less megapixels (around 9-12) and is perhaps an older model to save money as long as it’s got all the important settings and functions. What are some good cameras and brands I should try to find? How do I tell if an ebay camera is worth buying? : ) thanks!

I want a good digital camera which is about 7m.p above I need it to have soft pictures quality with flash and a good battery life. Its christmas sales now and there are so many camera’s on sale but i really dont have a clue what one to purchase.
So could you kindly advise me what make of camera is good, which one you use and if it is good. Have you had past experience with trashy camera’s if so which ones? I’d really like to know so I can get something good with my money.

I’m planning to buy a new camera in replacement with my older one (Canon A470). Is there a good camera out there that’s quite similar to a DSLR like the Canon SX20IS? I don’t want to spend more than $400. I just want a good and reasonable camera to take good quality pictures and is good with Macro mode. Any suggestions? thank you in advance.
