I will be going overseas and traveling alot. I need a camera that shoots HD video and has can provide professional quality. Also, sturdiness is a big issue. A camera that can hold up with rigorous schedule is a must. Any suggestions?

Transitioning to a dslr. What’s a better choice Nikon D70s or a D80?

I am looking at a Nikon D70s with 50mm f1.8D $450. My thought is to buy this and save up some $ and add a Nikon 18-200 mm vr lens. Or would it be better to spend the extra $400-$500 and buy a D80?
Here’s some that I’ve found:
Nikon D80 with Nikkor AF-S 18-70mm $850
Nikon D80 Body only $650 (I will still have to buy a lens)
Nikon D80 SLR Digital with 18-55mm VR Lens $900
I am looking for a camera to suit my many needs; sports, scenery, holiday pictures, recitals, etc. I am hoping to not do a camera upgrade for a very long time and not sure if there are added features of the D80 that would warrant the extra cash.

What’s A Good Store To Buy A Lower Priced Digital Camera?

I have it pretty much narrowed down that I want as much megapixels and optical zoom that about $100 can get me.
I looked at Staples and everything is higher. A clearance camera was about $150.
Wal-Mart has a lot of choices for about $100 and so does eBay.
I just have this preconceived notion that everything at Wal-Mart is substandard quality and of course with eBay if you get a seller with a good rating you can sometimes fetch a good deal, but it’s still somewhat of a gamble since they are not a “brick and mortar” store
If it’s got a decent warranty for say a year, I don’t really see anything wrong with buying a “discount camera”.
Any suggestions on where to buy?

I’m a regular teenage girl looking for a camera to take pictures of good quality of me and my friends. Between the Nikon Coolpix S550 and the Fuji Finepix Z20 which one is the better to get.
I’m also planning on keeping this camera for about 4 years unless if something happens so keep that in mind.

I’m looking for something small but I am expecting good quality video from it. I want something that will end up in HD quality on YouTube. I have been Googling and Googling products but it’s hard to pick. Can anyone offer their advice? Perhaps even a video on YouTube with a camera?

I’m Looking for something with the basic style of the old windows movie maker, without the headaches.
Something simple but with plenty of tools for editing. Nothing you’d need tutorials in to learn how to use, but not so basic that it’s pretty much “upload your movies, tweek some settings, hit make movie and we make it for ya”.
Also could anybody tell me if adobe premiere is easy or difficult for a noob to just start making nice movies.

I want to get a canon powershot digital camera, but there is more than one version, and I don’t know which is best. I need a widescreen, so I can get everything in the picture, without half of something being cut out of the shot. like only half of someone’s head makes it into the picture, ect. I want to avoid that from now on. I heard powershots had widescreens, now I just need to know which one to get. Thanks.
